The Texas Rangers moved their baseball team across the street in 2019. Anyone in the parking lot that day may have heard a familiar noise: Meep! Meep!
Like the famous Looney Tunes Roadrunner, Six Flags was headed about a mile south of its flagship theme park to occupy the old stadium’s centerfield structure as its new home for its headquarters.
The entertainment industry leader needed plenty of audio/visual amenities to stay on the cutting edge of the market. Six Flags, through Novom Group, chose CEC Facilities Group to install all video, speakers, and video-conference integration microphones in its 40,000 square-foot facility. Each room – playfully named after Looney Tunes characters like Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Marvin, and more – had specific roles, and thus specific requirements.
“Six Flags is committed to giving their guests the best sensory experiences. We provided high-end AV solutions to give their headquarters the same feel,” said Titus Sam, business development leader.
One of Six Flags’ goals was to create a seemless, integrated, and minimal-touch system for their meeting rooms. CEC installed Cisco Touch 10 video-conferencing control units with Crestron controls integration. These control units allow easy interaction, often with just a swipe of a finger. Users can quickly customize the interface.
The Crestron integration allows for room control for the immediate room or a scalable combination of rooms on the network.
Additionally, CEC installed an NVX system with Cisco codex. It utilizes an IP-based video distribution system in conjunction with Cisco’s unified communications engine, which allows for unlimited scalability. Both systems are designed to power down with room vacancy, leading to energy and cost savings.
With the system installed, Six Flags employees now have more time to focus on their prime business goal: providing top-quality entertainment to families throughout the nation.
